welcome to my blog!

My name is Angel More and I am 16 years old. I'm climbing mountains, biking, swimming open water, and doing triathlons to raise awareness for Children International. Children International is an organization that supports children in poverty and I want to raise money to $1 million for Children International’s HOPE scholarship fund—to support 5,000 teens around the world who want to further their education in high school, college, or technical school, so they can escape the cycle of poverty. Follow my blog for updates about my adventures and fundraising.

let's end poverty for children worldwide!

I started open water swimming two years ago and today I did the same swim with which I originally got started. This swim has a special place in my heart.
Today's swim was very challenging, strong winds and currents made it hard for sighting. I took the silver medal in F39 and under age skin group. [In her first swim, she took the gold medal in F12 and under age wetsuit group]

Today, I participated in the Auburn Triathlon and did my first Mini Triathlon (500M Swim – 13K Bike – 4K Run) distance. I took 3rd place in my age group and 5th in overall women. The bike course was entirely uphill from Folsom Lake (el. 460′) to Auburn (el. 1,300′).  Auburn, California is home to some of the most challenging endurance events in the world! Hence, it's the Endurance Capital of the World....

Yesterday, I had one more amazing experience from start to finish at the Wildflower Triathlons. I took the second place in the 13-15 age group Olympic course. The course was very challenging; it was hot! water in 70s and air temperature was in the 90s.
