A shorter Golden Gate to the Bay Bridge

Today I went for my 5th long swim from Golden Gate to the Bay Bridge in the San Francisco Bay. The weather conditions today were much harsher than usual which resulted in the swimmers to be dropped a little farther from the normal starting point near the Golden Gate Bridge. The water was choppy and the visibility poor due to fog. A side effect of this was that the swim distance was reduced to 5.5 miles. I did pretty well and got my second best time at 1:30:24. 

On Monday we all are off to London next week for my Henley mile swim as well as the Thames marathon swim. The coming six weeks I will be also familiarizing myself with the Dover harbor and swim a little in the English Channel!
